She is dreaming, she is dreaming her and Sam are moles, and they’re looking up at the biggest mountain that exists in the world and Sam is saying “you’ve got to understand it’s a molehill, but then you can’t I suppose can you?” And the mole Sam is wearing glasses and has a posh English accent and a Griffindor scarf around his neck.
Jakob Hunosøe is a danish photographer, these are from his On Things Ordinary series. Found here. I really like how he makes little differences to ordinary things which make these unusual images that are still somehow familiar – and I think it kind of shows how you don’t see the world in its real way. Everyones vision and brain skews things. I know mine does anyway. Which means there is no ordinary because it’s unique to how you see.
I love this picture of Marilyn Monroe. By Sam Shaw in Central Park.
